Heat Pump Compensator
Compensator
01282 841500 Hello@AshburnHeating.co.uk
Heat Pump Compensator
The Compensator is an alternative to the glycol and anti-frost valve methods currently in use on the market today. Designed to protect the plate heat exchanger and the pipes connecting a heat pump from being frost damaged by providing expansion relief without the all of the disadvantages of existing methods.
Glycol is costly and tends to lose protection, degrades and causes joint leaks in heating systems over time whilst the use of current anti-frost valves to dump the system water effectively leaves the property at risk of frost damage to the internal heating and plumbing installations.
Compensators are fully tested and are in use, both Europe and the UK, now for several years and have proved to provide fully effective protection without any drawbacks.
Not only is this a far cheaper and more effective protection device, they are in stock for immediate delivery.
Magnet Filter Lever Valve
Mag Filter
Magnetic Filterball and Flow Filterball

Magnetic Filterball valve
Magnetic Filterball valves combine the functionality of a ball type isolation valve, a built-in filtration system and magnetic system cleaner. These valves are engineered not only to control the flow of fluids but also to strain out impurities, debris, or particles present in the working fluid. The built in magnet also catches any steel based corrosion suspended in the heating water. Compatible with water and antifreeze solutions for heating systems, heat pumps and solar thermal systems.
They are commonly used in applications where maintaining a clean and uncontaminated flow is crucial for the proper functioning of the system. They are particularly suitable for new heating systems and heating systems that have had chemical cleaning undertaken. A favourite application is for ASHP systems fitted externally as an isolation valve to the return pipe of the heat pump.
Main features
• Watertight closure or opening for the working fluid
• Magnet to collect magnetite particles
• Easy cleaning, no tools needed – hand tight is enough
• Replaceable stainless-steel strainer
- Different versions available without magnets or for use as heating circulator isolators etc.
Thermostatic valve with a capillary designed for cooling
Thermostatic Valve
01282 841500 Hello@AshburnHeating.co.uk
Thermal temperature safety valve with dual capillary sensors
These safety device are known by various trade names from different manufacturers, such as TAS valves or STS valves, which are both acronyms for similar devices. BVTS is the acronym used by Regulus for their safety valve but originally coined by Danfoss who original designed and produced these devices before Regulus bought the sole rights to manufacture them. All BVTS thermostatic valves have dual remote capillary sensors for redundancy and are designed for many applications such as:
- Cooling biomass or solid-fuel boilers that are fitted with a safety cooling heat exchanger
- For cooling sealed system wood boiler stoves that are fitted with a safety cooling heat exchangers
- As a method of complying with building regulation Approved Document G as a non-electric thermal relief valve for stored hot water
- Suitable for mains pressure or tank fed water supplies to fuel feed drench systems
When the temperature of the water in the appliance exceeds the set opening value, the capillary sensors open the valve allowing cold water inlet to flow through the cooling heat exchanger thereby protecting the boiler from overheating.
There are several different opening temperature depends on the application required and the valve is factory set and cannot be changed by the user.
In order to work properly, the valve sensor shall be installed in a place where the highest temperature is reached in case of overheating - usually directly in pocket fitted into the top section of a boiler or in an outlet pipe very close to the boiler
